Conventional wisdom about food is incorrect
We have been led to believe in conventional wisdom about diet, weight loss and nutrition. But the thing you may not know is that much of that information is not true. Although there is now new evidence emerging that tells a different story, the commonly held beliefs are deeply ingrained in us. Our beliefs about low fat diets and calorie intake, our beliefs about what healthful foods really are. We’ve all been led to believe that our diet should be based around the food pyramid!
But the very basis of this model is that the base foods are actually the foods that make you fat!
So if we want to break the pattern of constant weight gain, yo-yo dieting, emotional eating, binge eating, and all our other eating issues, we need to think outside the square and find something new. I’m speaking here from my own experience as I have had many eating disorders and food issues in the past…until I discovered paleo.
Back to basics
The paleo diet breaks many of our long held beliefs about nutrition, diet and weight loss. It takes us back to eating the types of foods we were really designed to eat all along. It’s only that the food industry has led us so far astray that we have forgotten what that actually is! So the paleo diet helps us get back to the basics of real food and real nutrition, which is what our body needs.
That certainly doesn’t mean that the diet is boring or tasteless. Far from it.

Weight Loss Is Easy
Weight loss is actually easy when you eat the right foods! The paleo diet is the perfect eating program for weight loss as there are no tight conditions, no weighing and measuring foods, no severe portion controls, no ready made meals, no calorie counting. Instead the paleo diet simply relies on the consumption of a huge variety of healthy, satisfying, and delicious meals made from lean meats, fish and seafoods, fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts and snacks.
The reason it works so well is that it eliminates all the foods that generally cause any weight problems in the first place. Things such as processed foods, junk foods, excess sugars and carbohydrates, grains, beans and legumes, dairy (for some), and sugary beverages.
The benefits of eating the Paleo way is that you can lose weight easily and control your weight long term. You can prevent or reduce your risk of modern diseases such as heart disease cancer, obesity, diabetes and so forth. You can reduce the feelings of pain and inflammation in the body. You will gain a high level of health, and you will feel a new level of energy than ever before.

The Paleo diet focuses on deriving our source of nutrition from all-natural, unprocessed foods and eating them as close to their original element as possible. These kind of foods are naturally the foods we were genetically made to eat, not deep fried, fatty, salty and sweet foods that line our supermarket shelves! The Paleo Diet is not a fad diet, the latest yo-yo plan, the latest low-carb or no-carb diet…NO…it is a lifestyle choice where you can finally learn to live naturally, healthily and in harmony with Mother nature. And as a result you will lose weight and gain health naturally.
It’s not our fault that this has happened so the first thing to do is let go of any self hatred or self beating because you haven’t been able to change. It’s okay, how can we control ourselves when eating the wrong foods drives us to eat more with so many food cravings!
We have lost our way with food
Many people today have become so far removed from what good natural healthy food is. Have a look around and it is easy to see that something has gone radically wrong in our society. Modern diseases such as those mentioned above are heavily on the rise. The problem being that we are consuming large quantities of the wrong types of foods that do not provide any nutritional value to the body. In time the body cannot cope with this and starts to break down, your health suffers, your energy suffers, and unfortunately your waist line suffers the most!
We can discover the foods we are really meant to eat
The real purpose of food is to fuel our bodies processes and fuel our energy so we feel super healthy, vibrant and energetic. Not just to satisfy desire, emotion and pleasure. That’s not to say you shouldn’t enjoy the foods you eat. In fact you will thoroughly enjoy eating the foods contained within the paleo diet.
On the paleo diet you can choose from a wide selection of paleo diet foods including lean meats, game meats, fish and seafood, fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds, roots, eggs, some oils, fresh and dried herbs and spices, dried fruits occasionally, and some tinned goods.
The paleo diet is the perfect diet for weight loss, and it is also dairy free, sugar free, gluten free, grain free, perfect for people with allergies or intolerances.
